An introduction to Free Flight

The best way to figure it all out before committing yourself to the power of free flight is to take a Tandem Flight with an experienced pilot and Instructor. Under his guidance you will learn the basic procedure of launching, soaring and landing while experiencing the fabulous sensation of flying free without experiencing all the hard work ! If you like it and can't wait to get started then dive right in and take the Complete Beginner course. This is a great way to see what it's all about.

When I can I book?
First of give me a call. 902-254-2972, but before you do please have a couple of dates in mind. The first one will be your preferred date; the second the date we'll use if the first one is rainy or too much wind or not enough. You see this is not like guided tour of your local museum. We work with the elements. It's the co-operating wind that will give you the experience of a lifetime. However we don't control that and can only work with what we're given.

So call and we'll pencil you in. Your next job will be to call me the day before you expect to fly and I'll tell you whether or not the day is promising. If it looks good I'll give it the go ahead. I won't tell you yeah if it's very very unlikely.

How long will it take?
Well I''l probably tell you to arrive early and be prepared to stay late. If it works within the first hour then that's a bonus however the wind is fickle so patience is the main issue. Bring a book, something to nibble on, maybe a lunch, water and your camera. The areas that we "parawait" are spectacular. Nature is very close. Drink it all in. If the bottom falls out then there are still memories to take away.

When we do fly you can look forward to about an hour in total from prep to minimum of twenty minutes in the air. If you're the last one to go you might get the bonus flight for being so nice and letting the other s go first and get over half and hour in the air!

Do we get desperate?
NO. No desperation is allowed neither from me nor from you. I will not risk my health nor yours trying to make the best of a not so good situation. I do this to share good times. That's the most important

Are their limitations?
Yes. If you're too big ( over 100 kgs) then it's not likely to happen unless the conditions are very strong and your an athelete. The reverse is not so true (too small) however the window of opportunity is smaller and requires much lighter winds. That being said 45kg is pretty much the bottom line. Age is not an issue as long as parents of children sign the waiver and are present.

How many can you take?
It's a good day if we can get five flights in. A bonusfor you though is that the fifth flight is half price. You can share that around or by everyone a celebratory tipple.
